Lucia wishes she could take credit for this motto, but she heard it first from a great Pilates instructor who always inspired others to embrace and even enjoy how hard a good work out can feel sometimes. Just because something it’s not easy it doesn’t mean it’s not worth pursuing – and when it comes to those 50 minutes in the ride room Lucía argues it’s even the opposite. Working hard and pushing past what you think your limits are feels so rewarding, that when the ride gets harder and you feel like quitting, it’s worth remembering that “we don’t want easy”. What we do want is to sweat, work hard, and most importantly, to disconnect from everything else going on outside of the room. Resistance on, eyes closed, music to the maximum, and letting your body move to the flow while you keep reminding yourself that we want this hard work, that we want to chase this incredible after ride feeling, and that in short, we don’t want easy!
